It is human resource management’s role to ensure that employees are motivated and remain objective while working in the organization. Employee satisfaction is an important issue, and personnel management should actively manage employees in recruitment, selection, training and compensation process. In this case, Sam Lennox, the human resource manager and later promoted to personnel manager, was supposed to obtain, use and maintain a satisfied employee base. This included handling issues arising at work, maintaining healthy working conditions, and improve communication. Personnel management is primarily concerned with the organization’s human resource (Torrington, Hall, Atkinson, & Taylor, 2020).
