Clinical evaluations are an important part of the learning process when it comes to the nursing field. The three clinical evaluation strategies I believe to be fair and accurate in measuring student learning include observation, written tests, and simulation. The observation method of evaluation requires the instructor to observe the student while in the clinical setting (Golnik, 2019). The teacher gets the chance to assess how well the student follows the processes they have learned during their theoretical sessions in the classroom. It also allows the teachers a chance to assess how well the students can handle the various clinical problems while under pressure.
