The California Reading Association is one of the chapters of the International Reading Association. The organization provides numerous cross-curricular resources for both learners and teachers to use to improve literacy education. One of the resources the organization offers on its platform is the reading rockets multimedia projects. This platform provides information on how young children learn to read, the reasons why others struggle, and how they can be helped by adults to improve their reading. It offers strategies for teachers to use in helping their students to improve their reading activities (California Reading Association, 2021). I would use this resource to develop the choral reading tool which requires learners to read aloud in unison. This will help me improve my learners’ reading fluency, self-confidence, and motivation to read.

The second cross-curricular resource available at the California Reading Association is the use of teaching books.
