Write a discussion forum to help us understand the difference between ‘summarizing’ and ‘literary analysis’. In the short story “So Much Water So Close To Home“, Claire surrenders to her husband’s sexual advances after avoiding him throughout the story. Why do you think she gives in like that? Why didn’t she resist him? Lastly, why does she hear the sound of water?

The discussion should be 150-250 words. We’ll keep this one short and quick, but hopefully we can build a substantial analysis of Claire’s motivations as a class.
