The issue, in this case, involved the plaintiff (Nemet Chevrolet Ltd), a company that engages in the production and sale of automobiles, and the defendant (Consumeraffairs.com), an online platform where consumers make remark on the quality of products of other companies. The plaintiff filed a defamation case alleging that most of the publications on the defendant’s platform are false and harmful to its trade repute.
