In future, I would like to be an entrepreneur. I hope to specialize in the hotel industry and establish a restaurant in one of the busy streets within the state. I am still trying to figure out the street I would love to have my business located. My main inspiration towards investing in a restaurant is to serve residents food that is organically grown.

In my predictions, I project that restaurants are slowly moving towards the incorporation of ICT in the service departments. The service department is evolving to adopt the strategy of meeting customers where they are. The strategy will be achieved through the use of delivery apps and other technological advances. Given that not many restaurants serve purely organic grown foods, I am hopeful that my restaurant will attract customers from far and wide. For this reason, I will employ two delivery girls to start with. As the business peaks, I will add the workforce if need be.

Flexibility is one of the skills I have learnt in LSS 1003. The skill of flexibility will help me solve various problems. Among the problems are; adapting to changing consumer tastes and preferences, adjusting to fit into the time when most consumers want to have their meals and attending to individual clients as per their tastes and preferences.

My accounting skills will also come in handy. The skills will help me in determining the cost of running the restaurants and the returns. Through accounting, I will determine whether the investment is worth, incurring losses or accruing benefits after calculating the cost of inputs and the employees’ salaries.
