My Performance in Student Nurse Practitioner Role
When serving as a student nurse in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I managed to provide different services in the institution as well as caring for different patients. My clinical experience obtained in this setting was of critical importance in supporting successful learning experience of the nursing program. The clinical environment provided me with the opportunity to synthesis concepts and application of principles of what primary care entails. The FNP worked closely with me and I learned a lot from the advisor’s examples and supervision. I was able to gradually develop skills that made clinical sense to be a fully-fledged primary health provider.
The main objective of the practicum clinical setting was to provide the student nurses with a greater insight towards developing an effective clinical teaching approach in the nursing education (Smolowitz et al., 2015).
