Nursing organizations play an important in role in advocating for not only the rights of nurses but also in ensuring delivery of quality care to patients. After my BSN program for which I will be enrolled as an RN nurse, there are professional nursing organizations and professional networks that I seek to join. The first one is the American Nurses Association which advocates for the improvement of health standards and ensuring professional development (Camicia et al., 2013). The second organization is the American Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing. I will register for this association to help me give services affected by mental health issues such as those in prisoners.
