Process improvement is a business practice through which business players often identify, analyze and then improve on the existing business processes with the aim of optimizing on the desired outcomes. Different tools can be adopted by organizations to drive the desired improvements specifically in terms of quality and performance. Different Lean production and Six Sigma quality tools are examples of tools used in process improvement. This task demonstrates the efficiency of the Fishbone diagram (the cause-and-effect diagram) that allow employees to critically assess problems and help derive the most feasible solution. The improvement plan is informed by my personal experience as a certified green belt in Six Sigma.
The fishbone diagram is described as a visual way that helps to evaluate the cause and effect in the organization.
