Technology has a great role to play, especially in today’s dynamic healthcare system. From patient admissions to the dispensing of drugs, the current system calls for IT system integration (Staggers, Elias, Makar, Hunt, & Alexander, 2016). The question, however, is how information system specialists integrate with other healthcare professionals. This though, will thus form the basis of my reflection in this essay.

My organization has, to a great extent, embraced the use of information technology in almost all departments of service delivery. In order to have efficient care for patients, I have witnessed a smooth interaction between our informaticists and other healthcare professionals. First and foremost, they simplify the communication and interpretation of information obtained from information technology (Booth, 2016).
