1. Minimizing bias and decreasing threats to internal validity is important to experimental designs. How will a researcher use the three criteria, manipulation, randomization, and control to minimize bias and decrease threats to internal validity?
In designing a well-planned study researcher must address issues related to the validity of the experiment in order to eliminate bias and focus on the intended outcome. Therefore, internal validity must be established even though there are some significant threats such as “history, maturation, testing, instrumentation, mortality, and selection bias” (LoBiondo-Wood & Haber, 2018, p. 156). As a result, an experimental design are identified through the properties of randomization, control, and manipulation. Randomization is used to eliminate bias by distributing the experimental change using subjects or groups tested equally to ensure validity. However, “control is acquired by manipulating the independent variable, randomly assigning subjects to a group, using a control group, , and preparing intervention and data collection protocols that are consistent” (LoBiondo-Wood & Haber, 2018, p. 167). Thus, in order to limit bias, the researcher holds the condition constant. Another property is manipulation which is influenced by the independent variable intentionally to observe if change will affect the experiment.

“A randomized controlled trial is a study where people get allocated by chance alone to receive one of several unique clinical interventions. One of them is the standard of comparison, which is traditionally referred to as the control group”(Gaille, 2020). As a researcher I believe that random clinical trials provide the strongest level of evidence-based model because it eliminates bias through the preventing the manipulation of results, provide immediate comparative outcomes, and offers a high level of statistical probability (Gaille, 2020).
3. When conducting an experimental design, how will you as a researcher, use intervention fidelity to increase the strength and quality of the evidence provided by the findings of the study?
Fidelity means for lack of better term reliability. According to Lobiondo-Wood intervention fidelity is a plan that the researcher develops in order to be able to fulfill an intervention for each subject with the same manner and same conditions (Lobiondo-Wood & Haber, 2018, p. 152). As a researcher I would utilize mediation loyalty to better the nature of proof by ensuring all members get similar intercessions under similar conditions.
