My most recent experience was in a psych facility. We went there for a leadership clinical rotation. A fifteen-question survey was conducted for our research paper and dispersed to the nursing staff to gather additional data regarding burn out and its effects on nurse staffing. The target population was the nursing staff in the healthcare facility. There was an initial fifteen-question survey distributed to the morning nursing staff and, in return, received six completed surveys. Afterward, another survey was completed after nurse education about Burnout, and its effects on nurse staffing were given again and received six completed surveys. They do not have electronic charting, still doing paper charting. I noticed a very busy facility with admissions and discharges.
