Measures of Central Tendency and Variation

For the assignment, I requested for the pulse rate of 15 of my colleagues knowing all too well that some may not be in a position to respond. I received via email, the results of 10 of them and recorded their pulse rate as follows in an ascending order. 70, 72, 74, 74,76, 78, 78, 78,80,82. From the data set, the central tendency mean is given as 76.2, the median is given as the average of 76 and 78 which is 77 while the mode is 78. Although the mean is the best measurement of central tendency, it has an outlier. There is one data point which is way below the mean range and hence can be treated as an outlier. The standard deviation of my data can be calculated as 24 while the range is 82-70 = 12.
In terms of skewness, the data is likely to be right skewed since there are more values above the mean than there are below the mean. Graphically, right skewness will be depicted by having both the mode and the median being higher than the mean hence shifting the graph to the right of the mean.
