How can people find inspiration at work?

My name is Andrew Seaman. I’m an editor at LinkedIn News. So many of you joined the conversation last week about changing jobs that I want to keep the discussion going to help even more LinkedIn members.

While many people in the workforce will undoubtedly look for new jobs and careers over the next several months, that is not the solution for everyone. Some people will want to stay at their current company and try to find a renewed sense of value in their current role.

What’s your advice for people who want to make their current role or workplace more meaningful and inspiring? What have you done in the past to refocus and find purpose in your work?

How can People find Inspiration at Work?
People can find meaning and inspiration at work and in their workplaces. One of the ways to do so is to reflect on oneself and apply individual talents. Even with the busy daily schedules, one needs to create time to reflect on individual capabilities, talents, and leadership in their workplaces (Van et al., 2018). By doing so, one would be able to acknowledge existing opportunities and find ways to overcome challenges. At the same time, applying individual talents makes it easy for an individual to tap into their qualities and strengths.
In the process, one develops an invigorating self of high self-esteem and confidence. As much as work may be straining, it is also critical to follow one’s passions.
