The Girl with a Pearl Earring is a 1665 painting by Johannes Vermeer. The painting is done on an oil canvas and is exhibited at the Mauritshuis, The Hague, Netherlands. It is one of the most famous art pieces by Vermeer (Chevalier & Phimister, 1999). In this paper, I take an observational approach to analyze the painting.
