Western civilization can be explained using a number of historical events. Social, economic and, civic issues have resulted in sparking of events that have, as a result, created a different basis of western evolution. World War I and II, Korean War, Vietnam War and Cold War have significantly impacted western civilization.
Events that Led to World War I
World War I was a historical event that occurred between 28 July 1914 to 11 November 1918. It was the Great War that the world had experienced that emerged in Europe. World War I began after the assassination of an Austro-Hungarian Heir, Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo. The assassination was done by Gavrilo Princip, who was associated with Bosnia, Serbia and Yugoslavia. The assassination led to the July crisis which consequently led to failed diplomatic relations between Austria-Hungary and Serbia thus the World War I eruption.
