One of the traits that can be seen within the story and is likely the most important is the family first. Throughout the story the various traits that make the family the meaning to life are evident. The lead characters in the story, a husband and wife are an average couple of the 1950\’s whose primary focus is to each other and their daughters. This can be seen by Bradbury\’s husband character who says to his wife \”Do you know, I won\\\’t miss anything but you and the girls\”. This is one of multiple validations of the family first trait throughout the story. The husband character follows with \”I never liked cities or autos or factories or my work or anything except you three\”. The husband\’s sentiments validate the family first trait being a key to the meaning of life.
