Using the information contained in the assigned readings, particularly Berma’s book, you are required to conduct a critical, in-depth analysis of each of the problems/issues, which you identified and described in the first part of your paper. Such detailed analysis entails:
o Discussing and ranking the problems/issues in order of importance or priority to determine which ONE of them needs to be “fixed” on an urgent basis, and briefly explaining why.
o Selecting the ONE most critical problem/issue (or “performance-deficit”) currently faced by your organization (or sub-unit), as the exclusive focus of your paper. You must provide a clear explanation as to why the ONE you have selected is the most critical problem affecting the overall performance of your organization (or sub-unit).
o Discussing potential approaches to tackle the selected most critical problem/issue, and deciding on the most appropriate course of action. Be sure to discuss the strengths, risks and limitations of each of these approaches, and provide a rationale or justification for your final decision (e.g., why is your proposed corrective action the most appropriate to overcome the main, most critical problem/issue?).
• Based on what you have learned from the course material, you need to design and propose a realistic and specific (step-by-step) PLAN of ACTIONor implementation strategy to redress the most critical problem, and improve the overall performance of your organization or sub-unit. For example, what exactly will you do; which concrete steps will you take; how will you go about implementing each step; who needs to be involved; when will the plan be implemented and completed (timeframe); how do you propose to measure the success of your plan. Additionally, please note:
• If your proposed plan of action cannot be implemented within existing resources, then you must include a brief strategy explaining where and how to obtain the necessary funds to cover the costs of your recommended plan.

General performance management is a key factor in ensuring a good working environment. As previously discussed in part 1 of this report, several factors affect not only the performance of mental health department but also individual employees in the department hence affecting service delivery. Addressing such issues is paramount in ensuring effective running of the mental health at the National Institute of Health (Charles, 2015).
