Block Grants
These refers to grants of specific amount coming from the Federal government of the United States to local governments or individual states so as to help in certain state programs. Such programs include: enforcing the law or improving social services. Examples of such grants are temporary assistance for needy families and community mental health.
The advantage of block grants is that the states are at liberty to use the grant for what they deem fit as the assumption is that the community understands their needs. The disadvantage is that the grants do not have Federal evaluation may make them prone for misuse (Balcazar et al, 2017).
Employment Grants
