Media policy plan has always been part of our organization’s crisis response plan. When a crisis strikes, it is important for any organization to effectively manage its media response as that will determine the effectiveness with which mitigation plans are initiated. Our organization’s media response plan during crisis is different from my day to day media policy in that while our organization tends to follow their already established media policy guidelines, I on the contrary use social listening to come up with potential issues and solutions. I therefore have no fixed response plan but rather, I handle any crisis based on social perceptions and suggested responses on social platforms. The media policy doesn’t have to be distinct since the response is influenced by different factors such as what the crisis is, probable implications, who is involved and etc. Therefore, it doesn’t have to be different as one method of response can still be applied in a different situation. The people that needs to be informed of the policy are mostly employees of the organization since they are directly impacted by any response plan provided.

The campaign captured the eight tips for creating successful campaign as it is clear to its objectives, its specific and impacts the target audience.
