Nature of the Project

Projects are a collection of actions that must be completed with limited resources to meet certain goals in a specific time and location. As a result, a project is a short-term endeavor used to develop a one-of-a-kind product, service, or outcome. The project’s nature as a short-term plan is examined through the lens of organizational theory (Turner & Müller, 2003). In this project, several design approaches are used. They include;

1. Experimental

In experimental designs, control and treatment groups are routinely used. Since, this study design seeks to determine cause and impact, it necessitates having control over at least one of the independent variables or treatment variables. The treatment is given to some of the individuals and not to others due to the experimental design. Subjects are chosen at random, meaning they get an equal opportunity of being selected to the experimental or control groups. (Haaland, 2020). Because randomization lowers bias, this is the best strategy for investigating cause and effect relationships. In reality, most experts believe that a randomized controlled trial is the only way to infer cause from a scientific study.

1. Descriptive

Descriptive study gives a detailed account of the features of a situation or population. They are frequently applied to determine how often something occurs, the possibility of something occurring, or group data. Let’s imagine we wanted to investigate the ICU’s visiting policy and how establishing an open-visiting approach influenced nurse satisfaction. We may utilize a research technique like a Likert scale to figure out how content nurses are with the policy as a whole.

1. Ethnographic

Ethnographic research dwell more on a group’s culture. Ethnographies base their idea on the concept that groups form a kind of ‘culture’ that guides how individuals of such a culture or group perceive the world. The research is focused on participant observation in this type of study. The researcher becomes an active contributor to the culture to comprehend its experiences.

Scope of the Project

This project’s scope is to establish the causes of Adverse Childhood Experiences and how to minimize and solve them. The research will concentrate more on ACE screening.  Mobilization of the population around the health centers is critical to achieving this goal.
