This study used a qualitative design to identify contextual factors that nurse managers feel are critical to drive change and promote evidence-based practice in a healthcare setting. Structured interviews are one of the most popular qualitative approaches that was employed to collect primary data from the nurse managers. This was appropriate for this study because its objective was to explain a qualitative hypothesis. The study identified that most nurse managers perceive workplace structure, resources, and culture as the primary barriers or facilitators to empowering nurses to use EBP to drive change (Kueny et al., 2015).
