The population being researched in the study
The study used two hundred participants who were aged 18 years and above. After being recruited, the participants were randomized into one of the two 12-week treatment interventions. All the participants were from Twin Cities metropolitan.
Methods used to identify the sample and recruit participants
The participants were recruited from Twin Cities metropolitan area using a targeted postcard mailing list. Other participants were recruited through brochures at community events, from the University’s website and other participants were recruited through advertisements made in online local newspapers.
