You can complete this assignment based on the same media product that you analyzed for your Critical Media Analysis, or choose a new form of media.

The purpose of this assignment is to take an existing media product and come up with a plan to improve it. For example, you might want to remake an ad in a way that is more inclusive of diverse groups. Or, you might want to change a piece of educational software to make it better aligned with what we know about children’s development. Or, you might want to create a satiric version of a piece of media to make a point. This assignment should include a “mock up” of the revised media product, and a written analysis of what you changed and why. You can create this project and mock-up in the format that works best for you (paper, design document, presentation, video).

Option 2:

Create a final project (paper, blog post, video, other media) conveying a specific thesis, argument, or stance related to children’s learning and media. Use original and relevant details, examples, and evidence to support your argument. Provide appropriate citations and references for supporting evidence and materials in either MLA or APA format.
