ATI Video Case Study
The ATI Video case is about a conflict between the patient (mother) and her family (daughter) concerning a proposed treatment plan. While the mother is refusing to continue with chemotherapy due to its adverse side effects on her, the daughter insists to the nurse that the chemotherapy should be administered as schedules because she thinks the mother is not in the right frame of mind while refusing the treatment. The case study is thus about patient autonomy and decision-making. This paper presents my response as a nurse to the daughter and the rationale behind it.
