The Millennium Development Goals (MDG) were developed by the United Nations (UN) in an effort to improve global health, similar to Healthy People 2020 within the United States.  The MDG goals were released in 2000 with an expectation to be addressed by 2015.  While these 8 goals are still global concerns, progress was made.  In 2015 the UN adopted the Sustainable Development Goals with a goal to achieve success by 2030.  Use at least one scholarly reference, other than your required reading, to highlight progress towards one of these goals on an international level.  How has nursing contributed?  How has nursing been affected?
