Developing an Effective Ethics Program

1. What is the responsibility of the corporation as a moral agent? 

Corporations have a responsibility as moral agents because they possess the characteristics of moral agents. As such, they have the responsibility to behave ethically towards their employees and the community, and any ethical irresponsibility can lead to misconduct, which is punishable (Orts & Smith, 2017).

• Why should organizations implement an effective ethics program? What do strong ethics programs include? 

Corporations need an effective ethics program to assist in sensitizing employees to possible ethical and legal issues. An effective ethics program includes a set of ethical codes, conduct codes, and values statements (Orts & Smith…
