Social and emotional development entails a child’s expressions, experiences and ability to manage his or her emotions. It comprises of both interpersonal and intrapersonal relations. For this reason, it aids in the development and establishment of a child’s desirable relationships with others. The main feature of this development process includes the child’s ability to comprehend his or her emotions while accurately understanding other people’s emotional states. In this paper, I look at some examples of children learning and communicating about their behavior and feelings.
