There are notable changes bound to occur in a clinical setting to help guarantee quality care. The changes have to occur to reflect the societal norms and the policies that eventually result in delivery of patient-centered care. However, initiating change in the clinical practice or staff behavior is at times a challenging aspect to attain. Some healthcare providers may be too complacent or too fixed to traditional way of doing things to an extend that they find no value in the changes being suggested in the organization (Hussain et al., 2018). Other barriers to change include lack of a well-designed communication structure, competing interests, a limited understanding of the impact the change will make, resistance to change in culture among others.
