Return to the site with the student with ASD and present your intervention plan created in the Benchmark, after incorporating IEP team feedback. Next, implement the Intervention plan. After implementing the plan, write a reflective essay of 500-750-words discussing the following:
What you revised in the plan based upon IEP team feedback
Results of the intervention;
Discussion of which interventions were successful and which interventions failed;
What you learned from your experiences; and
Evaluate your progress in using the Ziggurat model to service the needs of an individual with ASD.
Prepare this assignment according to the APA guidelines found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success Center. An abstract is/is not required. This assignment uses a rubric. What I Revised in The Plan
From the IEP team’s feedback, there were some notable revisions that I had to make. First and foremost, the team members were concerned about how to respond to Smith’s inability to recognize their feelings and concerns. As highlighted in the Ziggurat model, Smith cares less when he causes a disturbance. Even when his peers feel irritated or when teachers sound angry, he shows little regard for responding positively. In my intervention plan, I had suggested encouraging play and interaction. Social interaction could help him learn from peers on how to react to different emotions.
