Assignment-
As you can see after reading Chapter 9, there are many important events that influenced American education. For this activity, you are going to peruse a published timeline that showcases these important events. Then, you will create an original timeline on one of the specific ethnic groups discussed in the text.

Choose three events from this timeline that you believe to be the most influential in American education. Explain briefly what each event was about, and then discuss why you chose those events. (As you can see, there are a lot — so, there\’s not a right answer to this task.)
Then, create a timeline that showcases one of the following populations: African-American Education, Native American Education, Hispanic American Education, OR Asian American Education.

Using the text, create a timeline that highlights ALL of the events discussed in the text.
Add at least three images to the timeline (e.g., a picture of W.E.B. Dubois)

The Context and History of Education in the USA
First Event: The establishment of Howard University in Washington, D.C. in 1867 to encourage African American youths to pursue their education, especially in the field of sciences and liberal arts. Freedmen’s Bureau was responsible for offering financial support for the young people (Du Bois, 2017).
