Gung Ho is an American comedy of 1986 whose starring are Gedde Watanabe and Michael Keaton. The film was directed by Ron Howard. It is about takeover of an American automobile company by the Japanese company. The movie shows the cultural differences between the American management and the Japanese management. The film portrays various elements of quality management including ethics, leadership, and communication.

Ethics in an organization gives guidelines or rules that employees are allowed to follow and adhere to in their jobs (Pendergast, 2010). In the movie, we see that employees have a poor work ethic and since they are not motivated, they lack enthusiasm towards their jobs and offering quality products. This did not work well for the company since workers were not committed.  Leadership is when managers are expected to offer a vision and a mission for the company (Ross, 2017). In this movie, Takahara Kazuhiro, who is the Japanese executive in charge of the automobile company, has poor leadership skills so he promotes Hunt Stevenson, the former foreman so that he could act as a link for a close and better relationship between the American workers and Japanese management (Pendergast, 2010).
