Death is an important occurrence under the law. There are different legal issues attached to death such as the justice system, which regulates laws concerning death, whether the person is actually dead, investigations on the existing conspiracies and the circumstances surrounding the death of a person, and whether the death of that person was caused by another individual. Until the 20th century, human society had a clear belief in the difference between the living and the dead.
