CREATIVE WRITING: FICTION
RESEARCH PROJECT & REPORT EXPLANATION

Part 1 – Research:
For this project, you will research something that will help you with your writing or getting published. Ideas for research include but are not limited to:
• History that might be included in your writing
• Topics that might be included in your writing
• Genres that you might try to write in
• Authors you have an interest in who might influence your writing
• Publications most likely to publish your work
Once you have decided on an area of research, find 3-5 “entries” to include.

Part 2 – Research Report:
Use the Research Report to show what you found in your research project. Your findings can take two forms:
1. Annotated Bibliography – In this option you will list your finding individually, with a description of each and how it fits into your research project.

2. Research Narrative – In this option you will narrate the process you went through in your research, describing what you found and how it fits into your research goals.
3. The research should be directed towards Chinua Achebe \”Things Fall Apart\”.
