The Ziggurat model refers to an instructional framework and process that provides a comprehensive and individualized learning plan for students with ASD. The model has multiple benefits associated with its use (Webster et al., 2017). One of the benefits is that the model helps in the simplification of complex processes by allowing the students to learn various concepts by building on the principles they have already learned. Another benefit is that the model allows the instructor to make the necessary changes when the need arises, based on the student’s progress throughout the learning process. Additionally, since the model is research-based, it allows the instructor and parents to learn more about the students undertaking the program.
