Difference Between First Aid Injury and Medical Treatment Injury

A first aid injury can be defined as a type of injury that only needs a single first aid treatment. The injuries involved are very minor and hence don’t warrant many subsequent visits for monitoring since no serious medical care is needed and hence a person gets back to normal activities almost immediately (Woodhull & Newell, 2016). A good example is x-ray examination with a negative diagnosis. On the other hand, medical treatment injury is one that came up as a result of certain treatment levels as given by either physician or medical personnel as per the standing orders of a physician. An example is a surgical debridement while the OSHA standard is the injury reporting rules.
