Introduction

At this point in the course, I’m sure you recognize the importance of trying to examine an issue from different angles. This time, we’re examining race-based standards “ specifically related to public policy.
Purpose

The purpose of this activity is to consider an idea from different angles. Issues are explored from multiple perspectives and areas are identified where more information is needed helping individuals to avoid rushing to judgment.

As an unwritten or sometimes documented rule of thumb, racial equality in almost all public and private sectors is necessary. Many people are of the view that enough laws have been enacted towards affirmative action but its implementation is far from being realized. However, another school of though is of the opinion that race based standards towards public policy is a topic worth not discussing since segregation based on race and other unequal treatments are ideas only conceived as perceptions in people’s minds.
