Whether a Valid Contract Existed
A contract can be defined as a promise or variety of promises made between two or more parties which if breached, the law provides measures undertaken for the good of both parties under which the contract was signed. For Sam and the chain store, there seem to be no valid/legal contract between the two parties. This is for the simple reason that Sam agreed verbally to provide the agreed units to the chain store without a binding exchange of good offered by the chain store for the units given. This contract is hence invalid even though Sam is of age and maybe his assumption was that the verbal agreement was enough.
