Effects of Gun Violence Cases of gun violence have increased over the past few years in the United States. This is simply because of the easy availability of guns to the citizens and weak laws that prevent this violence.  Many Americans feel like they have the right to own guns and therefore counter any measures against access to guns by the citizens. This has led to the increased violence which has affected the community greatly. Children that are exposed to this trauma usually suffer from constrained brain development which affects them negatively.
