Write My Essay For MeThe main points derived from “This is why we ROOTT” TED Talk is about black women and the issue of pregnancy. With ROOTT beneath, Jessica Roach emphasized that it becomes difficult to appreciate the beauty of the team in bloom. Jessica Roach’s TED talk explores the story concerning black women, infants, and families (TED Talks min. 7). It also informs the root causes of their health disparities. The emphasis from the presenter centered on black mothers, and the need to hear their concerns, while being given the opportunity to develop a narrative. However, it is important that the narrative is not about scarcity and risk, but more about these individuals living and thriving.
Jessica Roach’s TED Talk appeared good and bad based on the use of verbal and nonverbal elements evident in the presentation. Some of the verbal elements evident in the video are Jessica’s openness and maintenance of eye contact, in addition to the vulnerability to share delicate issues and concerns about black women/mothers, and their pregnancy. On the other hand, the nonverbal elements/cues evident in the TED talk video included body movements around the podium, as well as facial expressions, vocal nuances, and body orientation emphasizing the message delivered.
TED Talk explores the disparities that characterize black mothers and their challenges, including pregnancy and infants, and their families. Of major concern is health issues about the narratives, which emphasizes the need for them to ensure their life and excel as opposed to mothers of black color becoming a major source of scarcity and risk (TED Talks min. 15). Lastly, the two major concepts studied during the course include equality and racism. A lot of emphases was on the need to reduce the gap by widening the focus beyond numerical distinction. Again, the development of a better understanding of the different factors increases the gap for women of color.
