Globalization refers to the increase in the interdependence between countries in terms of the economy, populations, and cultures as a result of growing cross-border trade in goods and services, and flows in technology, investments, information and people. The concept of globalization had been happening for many centuries but it became more popular after the 1990s Cold War era. According to Brown et al., (2020), globalization involves four transformations; activities transcending national borders, intensified flow of trade and culture, increasing the speed of global inter-action and the deepening impact of events.
