In your textbook, there are two passages that I would like for you to consider in more detail. The first is on pp. 188-189. It stated, “Because of these limitations on its role, it is difficult for the federal government to implement sweeping national changes in education or to exert direct power over teachers, curricula, and standards.\” With the current debate over school choice, it seems like to some individuals that the federal government has more power than before…so, it remains to be seen how that may change in the future from more state control to federal control.

For this activity, you will survey five members of the community for their thoughts on public school education in the US. Please use the template provided and submit to the dropbox.
