You have just begun work in the field of your choice when your new supervisor asks you to think about a grant proposal that the department may pursue. This grant proposal can be a program, technology, construction, or research grant. For this task, you are to assume that you have been promoted above an entry-level position in your chosen field. The primary post for the Unit 4 DB is due by 11:59 PM CST on Friday, March 8, 2019. For this assignment, you will review the description of the Unit 4 IP and course resources and conduct additional research to develop an outline for a grant proposal as requested by your supervisor. This proposal will relate to a department at an agency where you have been promoted above an entry-level position. Below are some guidelines for this assignment.

· You cannot be the CEO, President, Executive Director, or in a similar role for which there is no immediate supervisor.

· The agency must be a grant seeking agency/organization (federal agencies are typically grantors and would not be applicable for your proposal topic but would be applicable for sources of grants in the Unit 5 IP).

· The proposal should relate to a program, technology, construction, or research grant for an existing agency (real or fictional), not for creating an agency.

· It would not be appropriate to only outline assignment expectations. Being specific to and detailed about your planned initiative will be beneficial in meeting expectations, preparing for the next step, and securing helpful feedback for next steps.

· The outline should cover some details about the agency, some details about your position, the need to be covered by a grant, a general description of the proposal, and the goals, objectives, and tasks that would be necessary for completion of the proposed program.

· Keep in mind that your outline will address upcoming assignment requirements for the Unit 4 IP about a specific initiative and the Unit 4 IP is carried forward to the Unit 5 IP. As such, select a topic that you can comfortably cover for all requirements for the Unit 4 DB, Unit 4 IP, and Unit 5 IP.

Description of The Agency

The devastating needs by children from underprivileged backgrounds and the probable emergency of natural disasters in the community neighborhood necessitated the formation of the agency, “For your needs”, which is meant to construct new shelter and develop infrastructure for people affected by natural disasters.
