The awareness of an individual’s position in a class structure shared by different stakeholders is referred to as class consciousness. Individual’s conscious of their class can form a strong bond and drive their ideologies to overpower members of the other group. It mostly leads to revolutions by lower levels in the society after making a discovery that they are being mistreated and exploited by the upper levels (Meszaros, 2016). The revolution’s target is always to redistribute resources that are only held in possession by the privileged group.

Social Problem Under Investigation  Rick (1995) sought to investigate and understand the problem of unconscious treatment of class consciousness and find a way of solving it in the American society. Understanding the dimensions that separate individuals into different social classes were difficult since each group had its way of separation.
