Dissertation Topic
The central criterion for choosing a dissertation topic is based on topics of personal interests. The topic should also be a good fit for the researcher’s intellectual strength and real life circumstances. In most cases, the students may have a burning question that matches their research areas, and they seek to know the answer and therefore tend to use it as their research topic. However, the issue of access to tools of discipline and resources may make it hard to complete the dissertation with the topic selected (Volk, Stengel & Schultmann, 2014). This means that a student is forced to restructure the research topic several times until the characteristics of a good thesis topic are reached. This means the eight weeks involved narrowing the research problem to identify the research gap, achieve clarity and be considerate of the current importance of the topic.
The plan in writing the dissertation was to complete it in the shortest time before the winter break so that I can start filling applications for the doctoral candidate (Carey, 2013).
