Proposal Abstract
The demand for quality and patient-centered care is set to increase with increased population. The increased healthcare reforms call for higher demand for healthcare providers. With the current shortage of nurses and other healthcare providers, it calls for better healthcare policies that can improve nursing training. Professional bodies like the American Nurses Association can play an advocacy role to not only call for better funding but also enactment of policies that can improve nursing education and consequently reduce the shortage of nurses in the healthcare setting.
