Describe an interesting case or a case that you have never seen before. My case is a 48 y/o Hispanic F with complaint of bilateral carotid pain in her neck with exercise and SOB. Appears healthy and fit
Explain what you found challenging.- Her demanding approach, language barrier- Spanish speaking only,
Explain what you would do differently from your Preceptor- I suggested a cardiac consult with carotid study to rule out corarc or CAD.
Explain the cultural differences you found challenging- her approach, frustration since it was her 3rd visit for same symptoms. Previously treated as muscular pain with muscle relaxers, physical therapy, and other medications with no relief.

Proper assessment is an important step towards guaranteeing the delivery of quality and patient-centered care. The diagnostic process should however be conscious of the sensitive cultural issues that influence the relationship between the patient and the healthcare provider. This task provides a personal experience of an interesting case I have handled in my healthcare experience.
Interesting Case
One of the notable cases that I have witnessed is that of a 48-year-old Hispanic female who came to the clinical care setting complaining of bilateral carotid pain that was evident in her neck especially when doing exercises (Mathangasinghe et al.,2019). The bilateral carotid pain indicates that the patent is at risk of developing cardiac conditions like stroke.
