Dialogue Assignment

Using the Unit V Assignment Template, review the dialogue (short conversation) between three people. Identify four fallacies, along with the four premises and conclusions leading up to the fallacies identified. In the first column, identify the fallacy present. In the second column, identify the conclusion of the fallacious argument, and in the third column identify the premises, or the reasons offered for the conclusion. In the last column, propose some ways to counter this fallacy. You should have a total of four fallacies, four conclusions, four premises, and four counters to correct the fallacies.

Jaylan: It has been a tough month with our efforts to secure funding and donations. It appears that no individual wants to contribute to our “feed street kids” forum. The only option now is either abandoning the campaign or actively continue wooing people to make contributions. By the look of things, we have not been successful in having donors on board, and we will have to let go of this activity.
Alex: I agree. Things are not going as we planned, but Jaylan, I am not convinced that abandoning the campaign is the best option right now. There are other options besides what you have put forward. It can be done; for instance, we can ask people to donate whatever item(s) they have, from foodstuff to clothing and bedding, among others. We need to convince and show people this is a noble move towards helping street children.
