Using the Academic Success and Professional Development Plan Template document that you began to work on in Module 1 and have continued expanding throughout this course, you will develop a curriculum vitae (CV) in Part 5 based on your current education and professional background.
Write a statement identifying your professional development goals.
Write a statement proposing how you might align one or more of your professional development goals with the university’s emphasis on social change.

I thought I would provide some guidance for creating your CV. I am doing this because in the past, many students thought they needed to have fancy fonts, formatting and colors. This is not the case; you should keep it professional and simple. The following as well as subsequent announcements this week come from White (2017):

Format

Keep your CV simple, professional, and easy to follow. No fancy fonts, clip art, or graphics. Use a font that’s easy to read, such as Arial, Calibri, or Times New Roman. The flow from section to section should be logical to a reader.

Several headings are required in the CV, including your name with credentials (for example, Susan Mary Jones, BSN, RN, CCRN), contact information, educational history, and work experience. Note your highest earned academic degree immediately after your name, then indicate your professional licensure followed by certifications. Note certifications last because they might not be continued if criteria for renewal aren’t met. Separate your credentials with a comma. If you include your personal email, don’t use your “suzybabe” address; create a professional one
