Right-sided heart failure, left-sided heart failure, and biventricular heart failure are all different types of heart failure that affect different parts of the heart and have different causes and symptoms.
Right-sided heart failure, also known as congestive heart failure, occurs when the right ventricle is unable to pump blood effectively to the lungs. This can happen due to a variety of causes, including lung disease, lung cancer, and pulmonary embolism. Right-sided heart failure can also occur as a result of left-sided heart failure, as the left ventricle is unable to pump blood effectively to the body, leading to increased pressure in the lungs and the right ventricle. In Henry’s case, he had right-sided heart failure due to a lung cancer which caused chronic obstruction and pressure on the right ventricle.
Left-sided heart failure, on the other hand, occurs when the left ventricle is unable to pump blood effectively to the body. This can happen due to a variety of causes, including heart attack, hypertension, and valvular heart disease. Left-sided heart failure can also occur as a result of right-sided heart failure, as the right…Order a customized and more comprehensive answer here
